Organized in 1934, the North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 (Monmouth County Station 13-39-2), along with its 2 sister companies, proudly serves and protects approximately 20,000 citizens in about 5.5 square miles. Our first due response area includes the popular jersey shore gateways Route 35 and Route 36 as well as many residential and commercial occupancies.  The company has an all-volunteer staffing of about 35 active firefighters, 6 fire police members, and 6 juniors (ages 14-17).

North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company (NCVFC) is located at 372 Middle Road in Hazlet Township, NJ.  This firehouse has been in the same location since the organization's existence with the current building being completed in 1984. In it we house one truck, two engines, one rescue, two brush units, one foam trailer, one support unit, one fire police truck, and one retired piece of apparatus.

In addition to fire suppression services we also provide many other services to the community. These include but are not limited to countless public relation events, a full month of fire prevention lectures per year, as well as EMS assistance to the local First Aid Squad when dispatched.
